You might try using an external keyboard, or the on screen one.Q) I don't like the size of the chatBuddy windows.A) There is a drag hanger at the bottom left corner of the window. You can use that to adjust the size of the windows.Q) I got a channel list and my newton got disconnectedA) Servers are a bit stupid, and will send you too many channels, and time you out. Add filters to reduce the number of channels you're getting back from the server.Q) DCC? What's that.A) DCC is Direct-Client-Connection, it allows to machines to have a chat or send a file in their own separate connection. There are problems with ChatBuddy's DCC file transfer right now.Q) Hey, I left a channel and my newton locked up. What gives?A) ChatBuddy can potentially use lots of memory, don't get too many channels open. And try using /quit to disconnect. Upgrade to a 2100. :) The newton runs out of c++ memory and locks.Q) IdentD, wass that?A) IdentD is a service your newton can provide to servers to confirm your identity. It's left over from Unix days where the servers could check with the unix machine to make sure that the user was who they said they are. These days it's less conclusive but some servers still require it.There is a preference you can turn on our off if you need it.Q) Sorry a problem has occurred?A) Please send errors like this to us at info@tactile.comQ) ChatBuddy sounds don't work.A) Did you install the sound package which comes with chatBuddy? Set the sounds in the prefs.Q) Where can I get the latest ChatBuddy?A) Q) What's with the / menu?A) You can send messages to the server instead of the channel with irc. The menu makes this easier. There are other /commands you can learn while you're on IRC. Some may not work, if they're something some other client supports. Email us if you think we've missed something, it's quite possible.Q) The A menu is missing the Abbreviation I always use. Can I edit it.A) Not yet, send us your abrev, if we like it...Q) My mom doesn't have a newton, but she want's to be able to chat with me at school. Can we use IRC on her computer?A) Undernet has a list of clients for different platforms at this address. Friends of ChatBuddy--------------------Tactile Systems and Rob Bruce would like to thank...
