It was written primarily to inform users about how much storage space is consumed by Notes, Names, and packages stored inside Global folders in the Newton 2.0 operating system. The software is also always available on the World Wide Web at .Installation:1. FolderInfo may be installed using a Macintosh or PC with Apple's Newt Installer or a similar program. Other installers include such programs as PDA Package Downloader 1.5, or the Newton Connection Kitª (1.3 Systems only).Ê2. Once the software has been downloaded and installed in the Extras Drawer, it should appear as shown above and can be launched by simply tapping its icon once.Using FolderInfo:Once FolderInfo has been launched, its window will appear near the top of the screen as shown below. On the left side of the window, the user is able to specify what kinds of items are included in the calculation of folder size on the right side of the window. For example, to determine how much internal & external storage space is currently being comsumed by Notes in the Business folder, simply select the Business folder from the folder tab at the top of FolderInfo's window, mark the the Notes checkbox, and push the Start button.ÊTo delete the contents of a folder, mark the checkboxes next to the items you want to remove from the folder and tap the Delete button at the bottom of FolderInfo's window.
